We are currently in the middle of a snowstorm. Why waste all that wonderful whiteness? I decided this morning to retreat to my wonderful home office and write. After all, this is a great day for it!

Being from the North East, the Hudson Valley originally,  I love to watch the snowfall while sipping a hot cup of tea in my favorite mug while getting all my latest thoughts on paper. After all, that is where many famous authors wrote their best literary pieces. Mark Twain, Ichabod Crane, and even Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It inspired the mind to work and made the writer part of the " Valley".

Sitting here at my computer I have so much inspiration as I look at the rather large window here in my office, I can almost feel the stories climbing to my heart and mind and encourage my fingers to relay them to the world. Ah,  this is what retirement is and should be about. I am relaxed and enjoying the various glimpses of memory lane in different eras.

I glance out the window and the snowflakes are becoming so large. It looks as though someone is standing in the sky dumping big dumpsters of snowflakes on us. You can almost reach out the window and grab a handful as they fall. each flake different from the next, is so intricate in design and some look like torn pieces of paper, while others remind us of white fluff we use to put on the Christmas tree so very long ago. I believe we use to call that Angel Hair.

It falls so fast and cleanses the entire outside. Trees, porches, cars, lawns, etc. Even the road is no longer recognizable. It takes all the illness and dirtiness away. almost like it is cleansing the environment to make it ready for spring. The whiteness blankets all outdoors as it cleanse the earth for new life once again. Soon it will be spring and we will enjoy all the newness once again. Mother Nature does things in such a beautiful way.
