Okay, We Did The Flu Thing and That's Over!  Was sick for fourteen days. It felt like a train ran me over and all I wanted to do was sleep, of course with the exception of blowing all that nasty mucus out of my nose and coughing. No Fever, No loss of smell or taste, no loss of appetite, no dehydration, no nausea just achy breaky muscles and lots of phlegm, with a deep desire to sleep.

For the first three days, I digested cold and flu capsules every four to six hours with no results except maybe a deeper sleep. However, on the fourth day, I had explosive diahrea with lightheadedness and that seemed to take things on a turn. I stopped all medicine OTC and started hot tea, lots of pineapple juice, gallons of water ( or so it seemed), and Coldeeze ( zinc lozenges)Six days of this and I slept significantly less, started getting strength in my limbs again, and actually felt as though I really would live. The cough went away by the seventh day, my energy returned by day six, and by the end of 12 days, I cleaned the house sanitized the kitchen, did the laundry, and cooked a healthy dinner.

DOn days thirteen and fourteen I actually felt like I had recovered. Yes, I had actually survived the good old-fashioned flu with a touch of the croup. I don't recommend everyone take this approach without their Doctor's blessings, but if you take your vitamins and especially your D, your immune system should fight it off.  Let's not get covid crazy and blame everything on the pandemic.
